I am a graduate of the University of Missouri St. Louis with a BS in Secondary Education and a minor in history. I also have an Associates in Business Management (emphasis in Finance). I am certified to teach Social Studies (7-12) and have a certification in Physical Education (K-12). I have been in education since 2002. I have operated in just about every position within a school district. I have been a long-term substitute (PE/Math/Social Studies), I.S.S. teacher, a Social Studies teacher, a hybrid position of Alternative Services with some administrative duties and working with special needs students. I coached for over a decade at Hazelwood Central. I was on the staff of a nationally ranked football program for 3 straight years. I was in charge of the strength and conditioning program, as well as tracking and monitoring student athletes for college scholarships. In our last 4 years, we put between 100-110 student athletes in college. I have also coached other sports at various times, as well. I worked for W.I.T.T.S basket and would collaborate with a few area coaches on how to approach setting up various programs.
Personal I am one of three siblings, the only one left in Missouri. I take care of my elderly mother. I have my own personal training business that I have had for years. In that business, I have trained athletes from several area programs, all have gone on to earn college scholarships. Several have gone on to become professional athletes. I still am an avid athlete and train. Like many, I have overcome some injuries and believe that “mind, body and soul” lead to better outlook and outcome in life.
